Bear Canyon Lake Campground
Located in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, Arizona. Bear Canyon Lake is a popular fishing and hiking spot. This peaceful campground is located 1/4 mile from the lake and trails provide the only access to the lake. Artificial lures required for fishing. The partially developed campground which is set among the mixed conifer, oak and aspen, has only limited amenities including rustic toilets. Semi-primitive no fee campsite.
Strayhorse Campground
Strayhorse Campground is located 26 miles South of Alpine, Arizona on US Highway 191 in the Apach National Forest. Free camping is available at 7 sites that accommodate tents and RVs up to 16 feet. Drinking water (seasonal), vault toilets, picnic tables, grills, and horse corrals...so you horse won't stray off.
