Leatherwood Wilderness
Located on the Sylamore Ranger District, Ozark National Forest, approximately 15 miles south of Mountain Home and 20 miles northwest of Mountain View, Arkansas. Free primitive camping is allowed. Standard National Forest rules apply. Please register at one of the trail entrances located at Barkshed Extension Road, Smith Road and Leatherwood Road.
Cimarron National Grassland
Free dispersed camping is available in the Cimarron National Grassland, Kansas.
Richland Creek Wilderness
The Richland Creek Wilderness is 11,800 acres of waterfalls, rocky creeks, bluffs and rugged Ozark Mountain terrain located in Newton and Searcy Counties in northwest Arkansas. Primitive camping is available free of charge throughout the area.
